My Local Plumber - Carrollton/Farmers Branch

We're hoping this will be our last plumbing nightmare. We only wished we had found MLP sooner (they were recommended by a friend). Trevor arrived the same day we called and I explained some of the signs we were seeing and showed them all the trouble spots. They asked some questions and based on my answers, they said it seemed like a slab leak. He explained why and his logic was sound, but would have to run a slab leak test to be certain. We scheduled the test for another day because we were leaving the next day for a weekend trip. However, Trevor did give us some tips on how to keep our house safe while we were gone which was truly appreciated. The next week, their master plumber Michael came to the house to conduct the slab leak test. I had to go to the office that day, but my husband happened to be off so he was there when they did the test. Michael did speak to me on the phone and explained how they conducted their test to locate the leak, as well as rule out any other areas where a leak may be. He also gave me a quote that included a subscription service, which I feel like a lot of service professionals are doing that these days so it was fine. The pricing was fair so a few days later we accepted the quote. Scheduling is all done through their online portal and via phone. Janet always picked up the phone when I called and was very communicative throughout the process. The excavation only took a day and the repairs were done by the next day. Trevor even left us with the copper pipe that had the leak and thoroughly explained how it happened. We were only without hot water for the time in between which was less than 24 hours. The excavation team was back the day after to cover the hole and repair the concrete. The whole process took less than a week. Don't get me wrong, it was an expensive and inconvenient repair, something that often comes with owning a home, but MLP worked really hard to provide prompt and professional service. We'll definitely use them again in the future. Thanks MLP!

Great service! Michael was able to come right out and help me with my tankless hot water heater issues. He was very knowledgeable about our system and found the problem quickly and got it fixed. Overall the company has a very easy system to make appointments online and it even allows you to track the arrival of your technician. They showed up just when they said they would. I will definitely use them again.

Excellent service!! I had constant drip leak in garage over water heater! Identified cause quickly and needed total tank replacement which they explained choices and were able to get it all replaced in same visit. Very prompt, very thorough and totally explained all they needed to do! Very pleased with service and would highly recommend!!!!

I love this company. I've used them repeatedly for toilets, water heaters, leaks, bad pipes, etc. They're always personable, helpful, informative, and affordable. So incredibly grateful for the team at My Local Plumber! I had a pipe break during the recent freeze and called them immediately. They were able to come out within 24 hours and repaired it quickly. Trevor has been our plumber for other needs in previous years. We had water in our side yard and he arrived and found a slab leak and a sewer leak. He kept us informed, throughout each day checked on excavators and work, made sure we knew when and what was happening and next steps. He saw and repaired a shower fixture problem. The tracking texts and calls kept us informed of arrivals and exact times for work. Alma and Janet at the office are friendly and helpful. Trevor made a huge, difficult and scary repair easier and he was a great resource and support. He is our go-to plumber!

I used this company a few years ago for the same repair and part, but this time, their price was 400% higher! On top of that, they charged a $69 trip fee, while other companies offer more competitive pricing without a trip charge. I won’t be calling My Local Plumber again.
